Sterling Johnson III is a Director in ORIX Corporation USA’s Infrastructure and Public Finance business, where he assists in structuring and special situations efforts. He joined the firm in 2025 and is based in Dallas.
Mr. Johnson began his legal career at Sidley Austin LLP in New York City representing lenders in commercial real estate and warehouse lending transactions. Prior to joining ORIX USA, Mr. Johnson was an associate for ArentFox Schiff LLP in New York City. At ArentFox, Mr. Johnson represented Fannie Mae in a variety of commercial real estate and bond transactions as well as represented trustees, mutual funds, and other holders of municipal bonds as purchasers counsel and workout counsel.
Mr. Johnson holds a BA in American Studies (Urban Planning) from Yale University and a JD from Harvard Law School.
