Catherine is a Senior Associate in the Structured Credit group at ORIX Corporation USA, which is responsible for structured credit investments, securitizations, and asset-backed financings. She joined the firm in 2025 and is based in New York.
Before her current role, Ms. Newman was an Associate in Blackstone’s Asset Based Finance group, where she focused on investing private ABS transactions in a diverse array of industries. Prior to Blackstone, she was a structuring Analyst at Morgan Stanley. There, she focused on newly issued ABS securitizations as well as warehouse lending facilities, primarily in consumer and in esoteric asset classes.
Ms. Newman graduated from the University of Virginia’s McIntire School of Commerce, where she holds a BS in Commerce and a BA in economics.
