Chris Adams is a Managing Director and Head of Multifamily Credit in the Real Estate Investment Strategies (REIS) group at ORIX USA. With over 20 years of investment and real estate experience, Mr. Adams manages the credit oversight and underwriting functions of the REIS team, including front-end structuring, sizing, loan term negotiation, and loan underwriting. Mr. Adams has been with ORIX USA’s subsidiary, Lument, since 2012, prior to the team’s transition to ORIX USA in 2025.
During Mr. Adams’ tenure at Lument and predecessor companies, he has overseen structuring, negotiation, and underwriting of over $4 billion in new construction, bridge, and subordinate debt financings for market rate multifamily, affordable housing, and senior healthcare property types. Prior to joining Lument, Mr. Adams held several credit and structuring related positions within Lument’s parent or predecessor companies, including as Head of Balance Sheet Underwriting for OREC Structured Finance (formerly Red Capital Group) where he oversaw the underwriting, structuring and closing of proprietary bridge to agency strategies for market-rate multifamily, affordable housing, and seniors housing assets classes. Earlier in his career, he was at Centerline Capital Group, last serving as the sole report to the Chief Underwriter, providing structuring and credit guidance for all market rate Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac originations. Also, while at Centerline, Mr. Adams was involved in the analysis and underwriting of several proprietary bridge loan opportunities and CMBS bond acquisitions.
Mr. Adams holds a BBA in Finance from Lamar University.
