David Nishida is Chief Operating Officer and Chief Financial Officer for ORIX Corporation USA. He is head of the company’s corporate operations center and is responsible for leading multiple ORIX USA group-wide functions, including enterprise resource planning, information technology, accounting, financial and security, operations and facilities management. Mr. Nishida is a member of the Executive and Investment Committees of ORIX USA and is based in Dallas.
Mr. Nishida has more than 35 years of private equity, accounting, and finance experience in the U.S. and Japan. Prior to joining ORIX USA, Mr. Nishida served as Representative Director, President, and Chief Financial Officer of Hudson Japan KK (captive asset manager for Lone Star Funds, Dallas), and was previously Chief Financial Officer for Morgan Stanley Properties Japan KK. More recently, he served as an independent advisor to Softbank Corp. of Japan and has had active involvement on several private company and not-for-profit boards. Mr. Nishida began his career in public accounting specializing in the real estate industry.
Mr. Nishida earned a BA in Economics from the University of California, Los Angeles.
