Jeff Abrams is Senior Managing Director, ORIX USA Group Head of Private Credit and Real Estate, and a member of the firm’s Executive Committee and Asset Management Investment and Oversight Committee. Mr. Abrams oversees ORIX USA Group’s integrated private credit platform across the Growth Capital, Municipal and Infrastructure, GP Solutions, Structured Credit and Credit Opportunities teams as well as those of Signal Peak Capital Management, a leveraged credit business, and NXT Capital, a middle-market direct lending business. In 2023 he expanded his role to add management responsibility for ORIX USA Group’s three real estate businesses, Boston Financial, Lument, and the Real Estate Capital group. He currently serves as Interim CEO of Boston Financial, a national leader in equity capital for tax-advantaged investments in affordable housing. He joined the firm in 2020 and is based in New York.
Mr. Abrams previously served as Chief Investment Officer, Asset Management, for ORIX USA. Before joining ORIX USA, he was Head of Investing & Lending Solutions at Barclays International, where he was responsible for originating, underwriting, and executing transactions in direct lending and opportunistic credit. Prior to Barclays, he was Senior Managing Director and Co-Head of the Corporate Credit Group for Guggenheim Partners.
Mr. Abrams started his career with Bear, Stearns & Co. Inc. and earned a BBA in Finance and a BA in History from Emory University.
