Jeffrey B. Hecktman is the Founding Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Hilco Global, a diversified global financial services firm and subsidiary of ORIX USA. Hilco Global was founded by Mr. Hecktman in 1987 and it has grown into a world-class platform that combines the industry’s smartest asset-focused valuation, strategic advisory, and monetization expertise with asset management solutions focusing on principal investing, private credit, and private equity. With a global footprint spanning five continents, the firm serves a wide range of companies and sectors by bringing flexible, data-driven solutions to complex business challenges across the lifecycle and consistently delivering measurable outcomes and enhanced shareholder returns.

As CEO, Mr. Hecktman is responsible for guiding the strategic direction and growth of the firm. Over the course of his career, he has structured and directed thousands of complex transactions, deploying billions of dollars in capital across mergers and acquisitions, restructurings, and monetization engagements. Under his leadership, Hilco Global has earned a reputation as a trusted partner to corporations, private equity sponsors, financial institutions, and their advisors—delivering practical, high-impact solutions that maximize value and resolve complexity.

Prior to founding Hilco Global, Mr. Hecktman worked in the asset disposition and liquidation industry, where he identified an unmet need for more integrated and scalable financial solutions. His entrepreneurial vision led to the creation of a platform that combines deep asset intelligence with access to capital, offering execution-oriented services that address clients’ most critical business challenges and unlock long-term enterprise value.

In addition to his professional accomplishments, Mr. Hecktman is a dedicated philanthropist and advocate for corporate social responsibility. Through Hilco Global’s philanthropic initiative, Hilco Helps, he has supported organizations focused on education, healthcare, and community development, including the University of Chicago Medical Center, Lurie Children’s Hospital Chicago, Northwestern Medicine, Sunrise Day Camp for Kids with Cancer, Youth Guidance, the All-Stars Project, and many others.

Mr. Hecktman holds a B.A. in Business Administration from the University of Arizona and completed international business studies through joint programs at George Washington University and Nyenrode Business Universiteit in the Netherlands.
