Jonathan Morgans is a Trader and Director of Structured Products for Signal Peak Capital Management (SPCM), a credit focused asset management team at ORIX Advisers, LLC, a wholly owned subsidiary of ORIX Corporation USA. He is responsible for executing trades, relationship management and portfolio analytics. In addition, he assists in analyzing CLO investments and CLO structuring and surveillance. Mr. Morgans joined the Mariner Leveraged Credit Team in 2015 prior to that team’s ownership transition to ORIX USA and rebranding as SPCM in 2020.
Prior to joining Mariner, he was a Senior CLO Analyst for Highland Capital Management, L.P. While at Highland, Mr. Morgans was responsible for the CLO Surveillance of over 30 Highland structures. Additionally, he collaborated with the CLO trading desk and provided structural analysis for potential purchases of primary and secondary CLOs. Mr. Morgans worked closely with the trading desk and trustees to analyze and review monthly and quarterly CLO performance and reconcile reporting with investment staff, trustees, counsel, and accountants. In addition to his surveillance duties, Mr. Morgans assisted in analyzing portfolio structures as well as critiquing offering documents with investment staff and underwriting professionals. Before joining Highland, Mr. Morgans was a broker with Fidelity Investments.
Mr. Morgans holds a BBA in Finance from Southern Methodist University.
