As part of the firm’s annual partnership with Habitat for Humanity International, colleagues from ORIX USA subsidiary Boston Financial recently teamed up with Habitat for Humanity Greater Boston to build five new affordable townhomes in Malden, MA.
The Boston Financial team worked on various projects at the Malden site throughout the day, including building and installing framing for front door overhangs, moving temporary ceiling strapping, digging trenches, and installing both deck and garage door framing. Each completed townhome will be three stories with a garage and storage space on the ground floor, living space, and kitchen on the second floor, and bedrooms located on the third floor. Like all habitat properties, homes are built with energy-efficient and hazard-resilient methods. Habitat homeowners help build their own homes alongside volunteers like those from ORIX USA and pay an affordable mortgage.
