New York, NY — Lument announced today that it has been ranked the top U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD)/Federal Housing Administration (FHA) lender in the U.S. by loan count for the fiscal year ended September 30, 2023. Lument led the field in total MAP (multifamily) and Lean (seniors) closings, with 88 closed transactions totaling approximately $1.2 billion. Of the 88 closed transactions, 62 were direct originations totaling $735 million.

Lument was also the number one ranked MAP lender for loans closed and second for total volume, with 75 loans closed totaling $1.05 billion. Further, Lument was ranked second by loan count for low-income housing tax credit (LIHTC) transactions with nine closed loans totaling $84.4 million.

“Even with the economic challenges of the past year, the FHA financing program remains a popular and beneficial financing solution for many of our clients,” said Lument CEO James Flynn. “Looking forward, as transaction volume accelerates and we regain market stability, there is no doubt that FHA will continue to play a crucial role providing long-term financing to our industries.”

In addition, Lument, a national leader in financing multifamily and seniors housing and healthcare, closed 13 Lean transactions totaling $129 million for seniors housing and care clients.
