RED Mortgage Capital, a division of ORIX Real Estate Capital, LLC, continues to expand its national presence, opening a new office in Los Angeles and hiring Jim McArthur as Director – Multifamily Originations.

McArthur will lead a new RED office in Los Angeles, further expanding the company’s West Coast presence. RED has had a long-standing office in San Diego as well as Newport Beach and the company opened a San Francisco office last October.

“As RED continues to strategically expand its national footprint, we are thrilled to have an experienced industry professional like Jim leading our origination efforts out of the Los Angeles office,” said Trent Brooks, President of RED Mortgage Capital. “Jim’s vast multifamily experience in the western US will further enhance the high level of expertise RED delivers every day for our customers.”

Before coming to RED, McArthur was a Senior Vice President at Jones Lang LaSalle. He spent the bulk of his career at Freddie Mac in the Chicago and Los Angeles offices, where he held positions as Associate Director in both the Underwriting and Loan Production departments.

McArthur earned his MBA from Northwestern University and his undergraduate degree from the University of Iowa.
