ORIX Corporation USA Group announced the firm donated a total of $1.7 million in fiscal year 2023, including $1.2 million through its annual giving program and $250,000 in 2022 holiday season donations to charities in the communities it serves. In addition, the firm supported employees’ charitable giving with $257,000 in matching donations to hundreds of diverse organizations.
ORIX USA and its subsidiaries Boston Financial, Lument, and NXT Capital are dedicated to supporting Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiatives and this year’s nonprofit grant recipients are aligned with the firm’s CSR focus areas, including assisting and empowering disadvantaged communities, affordable housing and homelessness, and sustainability and environmental issues. The firm’s CSR program is also aligned with ORIX USA Group’s Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion goals and dedication to being engaged members of our communities.
In addition to national charities such as Habitat for Humanity International and Project Destined, a few first-time recipients this year included Military Veterans in Journalism, City Relief (NY/NJ), Working in the Schools (Chicago), The Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Transgender Community Center (NY), GRID Alternatives, and Girls Who Invest.
